Dr. Cindy Lee graduated in the top 3 of her medical school class from State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook Medical Center. She completed her residency in radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Breast-Body Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Lee currently serves as the Chief of Breast Imaging and Vice Chair of Clinical Research and Faculty Affairs at SUNY Stony Brook. Previously, she was an Associate Professor of Radiology at New York University Langone Health and UCSF.
A national leader in medical quality, Dr. Lee served on the American College Medical Quality Board of Trustees and led ACMQ’s Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committees. Dr. Lee has been awarded the fellowship from the Society of Breast Imaging and American College of Medical Quality. She currently holds multiple national leadership positions, including the Chair of Practice Quality Improvement Committee at American Roentgenology Ray Society and the Vice Chair of Practice Parameter for Breast Imaging at American College of Radiology. She has published many articles and lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, on how to improve the patient outcome of mammographic screening.
